Motion text
That this House congratulates Wokingham-based charity Kaleidoscopic UK, and its founder Vickie Robertson BEM, on receiving the King's Award for Voluntary Service; recognises the essential nature of Kaleidoscopic UK's work supporting survivors of domestic abuse and especially post-separation abuse; recognises with sadness that for too many victims the end of a relationship does not end the abuse that came with it; states its concerns that such abuse often follows victims of post-separation abuse into the family court system where too many cannot secure appropriate legal representation; and shares Vickie's belief that fair justice for domestic abuse victims requires the courts to be advised by experts in domestic abuse.
