Motion text
That this House congratulates the Royal Kennel Club for attaining a Royal prefix in recognition of its 150 year legacy as Britain’s oldest and most trusted dog organisation; further congratulates the Royal Kennel Club for leading the way in advancing dog health, research and education and investing millions to improve the lives of pedigree dogs; and commends the club for the work that is being carried out to improve the long term health and welfare of all dogs and not solely pedigree breeds by rolling out their Health Standard, which guides dog breeders in adhering to health testing requirements and makes it easier for puppy buyers to know what health tests responsible dog breeders of all dogs should be undertaking.
