That this House congratulates Falkirk-based Sahelis on being awarded £5,000 in National Lottery Community Fund support; notes that this funding will enable the group to continue delivering a wide range of social and recreational activities over the coming year to improve the health and wellbeing of women and girls from ethnic minority backgrounds in Falkirk; recognises the vital role that grassroots organisations such as Sahelis play in strengthening community cohesion and providing safe, empowering spaces for women and girls; acknowledges the invaluable contribution of National Lottery players who raise over £30 million each week for good causes; further notes that the National Lottery Community Fund distributes over half a billion pounds annually, with more than 80 per cent of awards under £10,000 going to local charities and community groups; and expresses gratitude for the life-changing impact this support has on communities across the UK.
