That this House notes with serious concern that the gig economy has become a magnet for organised crime and illegal workers, creating significant risks to public safety and lawful employment, particularly as seasonal demand increases; further notes that enforcement in this area remains shockingly low despite these well-known problems; calls on the Government to urgently strengthen enforcement measures and provide transparency on progress; and urges Ministers to ensure that the gig economy operates within the law to protect workers, businesses, and communities.
