That this House welcomes the recognition of Adam Shanley, Clerk of the City of Durham Parish Council, upon his winning the Public Service Award at the Northern Echo County Durham Together Awards 2025; notes his description as the "backbone" of public service in the city, frequently going beyond the call of duty to support businesses, visitors, and vulnerable people; recognises his exemplary efforts in coordinating the work of the City of Durham Parish Council; congratulates him on delivering the city's successful blue plaque scheme and for becoming a core figure in community safety schemes such as Pubwatch and Shopwatch; and commends his selfless commitment to the City of Durham, which exemplifies the very best spirit of public service in County Durham.
