That this House recognises that 2026 will mark the 70th anniversary year of The Duke of Edinburgh's Award; notes with appreciation the thinking and contribution of the founder of the Awards, His late Royal Highness Prince Philip who once said, there is more in you than you might think; acknowledges the hundreds of thousands of young people in all parts of the United Kingdom who have taken part in the Awards over these 70 years; celebrates with all those who have received a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award since 1956; gives thanks to all the volunteers who have supported all the young people involved in the The Duke of Edinburgh's Award in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland; and champions the hundreds of thousands of young people who, through the The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, have developed real and meaningful skills, active resilience and a powerful sense of self-belief.
