That this House celebrates, with residents from across north Staffordshire, the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the North Staffordshire Pensioners’ Convention; recognises the excellent work the convention has done for more than three decades to serve its members, provide support, advocacy and a sense of community for older people across the region; notes that there will be a series of celebratory events throughout 2026 to mark this important milestone and shine a light on the contribution of members and volunteers alike; thanks all those who are paid members of the convention; encourages pensioners from across north Staffordshire to get involved; appreciates the visit made by members of the convention to the Houses of Parliament, supported and arranged through the offices of hon. Members from north Staffordshire, in Autumn 2025; acknowledges with thanks the work of the present committee and all those who have played a leadership role over the last 35 years; and extends its best wishes to all members of the North Staffordshire Pensioners’ Convention for the next 35 years.
