That this House congratulates the team at Novar Drive Espresso Bar for raising £3,000 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity; recognises that the coffee shop in Hyndland, Glasgow West, opened for a few hours on Christmas Day, and instead of taking payments for purchases, asked customers to make a donation to the charity; understands that owners Nicole and Chris had done similar in 2024 for the same cause, raising £2,000; commends Energy-io, located above the coffee shop, for generously offering to match the donations this year, taking the total raised to an impressive £6,000; notes the important work of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which fundraises for life-changing research, equipment and support services for Scotland’s largest children’s hospital; thanks the whole team at Novar Drive Espresso Bar for giving up their time on Christmas Day to help raise money for this worthwhile cause and simultaneously providing a welcoming environment for those who may not have had friends and family with them on Christmas Day or who needed an escape from the chaos for a few hours; and acknowledges the generosity of all those from the local Hyndland community and beyond who stopped by the coffee shop on Christmas Day and made a donation.
