That this House congratulates The Bake Shop in Ely on being named Best Bakery in Cambridgeshire at the 2025 National Bakery Awards; recognises the remarkable achievement of the Bake Shop team led by general manager Ruth Reyes and head baker Tessa Johnstone; notes that this accolade adds to an impressive track record of national and international recognition, including being listed among the world’s best bakeries in La Liste’s Pastry Awards 2024 and being highlighted by The Times in 2023 as one of the best bakeries in the UK; celebrates the bakery’s growth since its founding in 2018 in the garage of Luca Fiorio, starting with a single mixer and a pair of small ovens; commends the team’s passion, craftsmanship, and commitment to community, reflected in their dedication to perfecting their products and welcoming customers as part of the wider Bake Shop family; and wishes The Bake Shop continued success for the future.
