Peter Hill, visiting every pub in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2020

That this House congratulates the outstanding achievement of Peter Hill who has visited all 4,429 pubs featured in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide 2020; notes that on Friday 9 January 2026 the award-winning pub The Mermaid in St Albans had the honour of being the final pub Peter visited as part of his endeavour; commends Peter Hill for raising £7,000 for charity in the six years he has been visiting pubs in the Good Beer Guide 2020; further notes that Peter first started visiting CAMRA Good Beer Guide pubs in 1984 and that he has to date visited 24,424 pubs across Great Britain and Northern Ireland, travelled 400,000 miles and raised £35,000 for charity in the process; further congratulates Peter for his outstanding achievement; further commends the CAMRA volunteers who put together the annual Good Beer Guide as the authoritative, independent guide to great beer and pubs across the UK; wishes CAMRA and all its members the best for their campaigns to support, protect and promote public houses; and calls on the Government to adopt policies which allow community pubs across the UK to survive and thrive.
