That this House acknowledges the excellent work of the Veterans’ Orthopaedic Service based at the Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital in Gobowen; commends the delivery of more than 35,000 veteran patient appointments since the service opened a decade ago; notes its status as the largest provider of specialist hospital care for veterans in the nation, open to all who have served with the UK armed forces, including those who completed National Service; further notes the opening of the Headley Court Veterans’ Orthopaedic Centre in 2023, offering state-of-the-art facilities for veterans as well as an RV café and dedicated Veterans’ Hub providing vital support to veteran patients and their families; recognises the service’s importance in supporting serving personnel and veterans; further commends Lieutenant Colonel Carl Meyer on his dedication and successful leadership of the service; and calls on the Government to arrange for the Minister for Veterans and People to visit the Veterans’ Orthopaedic Service.
