Motion text
That this House notes the Big Garden Bird Watch which runs from 23 to 25 January 2026; notes that the RSPB are asking people to spend an hour watching the birds in their patch, garden and local area, and to record the highest number of each bird species you see at any one time that lands and and register them online or send it to the RSPB by post; encourages people to take that time simply enjoying nature and help to create an accurate picture of our Bird population; further notes that, across the UK, over 590,000 people took part in Big Garden Birdwatch 2025, counting a whopping 9.1 million birds; and urges the general public to take part as they are able.
