Motion text
That this House notes the revelations around Peter Mandelson and his relationship with the convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, especially his actions during his time as a Cabinet Minister when he reportedly shared confidential Government information with Epstein; is concerned about the ability of Peter Mandelson to obtain UK Government security clearance to take up his role as Ambassador to the USA in this context; and calls on the Government to disclose what information was found in the vetting process for this role and what interventions led to the appointment of Peter Mandelson as US Ambassador.
