Enforced disappearance and collective punishment in Balochistan, Pakistan

That this House expresses grave concern at the enforced disappearance of Mohammad Bakhsh Sajidi, Naeem Sajidi, and Rafeeq Baloch, who were reportedly abducted from their home in Sky Blue, Hub Chowki, Balochistan, at approximately 3:30am on 2 February 2026 by Pakistan’s Counter Terrorism Department and Army personnel; notes that Mohammad Bakhsh Sajidi is the father, and Naeem Sajidi and Rafeeq Baloch are uncles, of Dr Naseem Baloch, Chair of the Baloch National Movement; further notes that all three are retired public servants and were taken without warrant, charge, or due legal process, and that their current whereabouts remain unknown; expresses alarm at public statements made by the Chief Minister of Balochistan indicating that family members of those accused of militancy may be held responsible, raising serious concerns about collective punishment; recalls that collective punishment and enforced disappearance constitute violations of international human rights law; urges the government of Pakistan to immediately disclose the whereabouts of the disappeared individuals, ensure their safety, provide access to legal counsel and family, and release them and to reaffirm its commitment to opposing enforced disappearances and collective punishment wherever they occur; and calls on the UK Government to raise this case urgently with the Pakistani authorities.
