Motion text

That this House expresses deep concern regarding the ongoing detention of two British citizens, Craig and Lindsay Foreman, who have now been held in Iran for over a year without formal charges or sentencing; notes with dismay the escalating violence reported at Evin Prison and the significant risk this poses to their safety; calls on the Iranian Government to release Craig and Lindsay Foreman immediately; further notes that the UK Government has not yet formally designated their detention as arbitrary; and further calls upon the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office to take immediate, robust action to advocate for their rights and to prioritise their safe return to the United Kingdom.
