Motion text

That this House notes the Great Daffodil Appeal 2026, which is Marie Curie's flagship annual fundraising campaign, held every March, when people from all corners of the UK wear a daffodil badge to show their support for people with terminal illness; further notes that the Great Daffodil Appeal has now been running for 40 years and continues to raise vital funds to ensure that Marie Curie can be there to provide the support that should be available to everyone at the end of life; highlights that currently nearly one in three people in the UK don't get the care and support they need at the end of life, as published in Marie Curie’s new report on measuring unmet need for palliative care; and calls on governments across the UK to work closely with Marie Curie to fix end of life care.
