That this House commends Don and Rachel McKie and all of Clan McKie for their exceptional fundraising for brain tumour research since 2006, raising more than £58,000; notes that their efforts began following the death of their son, Graham McKie, aged 32, seven months after being diagnosed on 11 August 2006 with a grade 4 glioblastoma; commends their long-standing support for The Brain Tumour Charity and Brain Tumour Research; welcomes the Brain Tumour Research Centre of Excellence in Scotland, in collaboration with the Beatson Cancer Centre; and thanks Clan McKie for their sustained commitment, which honours Graham’s memory and supports families affected by brain tumours.
