That this House congratulates Whitburn Band on retaining the Scottish Brass Band Championships title; recognises the current band as a continuation of the proud musical heritage in Whitburn; celebrates the individual prize-winners, Andrew McMillan for Best Tenor Horn, Valentin Duc for Best Euphonium, and Paul Kiernan for Best Trombone; also celebrates the outstanding achievement of its Principal Cornet player Chris Bradley who won the Terris Medal for Best Cornet for the tenth time; recognises that this milestone makes him the most decorated Cornet player in the history of the Scottish Brass Band Championships; commends the dedication, musicianship and commitment demonstrated by the Whitburn Band; and extends its best wishes to the band and its members for their continued success at national and international level.
