That this House remembers with solemn respect Joseph Julius Stephen QGM, the Metropolitan line train driver who was murdered while courageously confronting the terrorist responsible for the IRA attack at West Ham Underground Station on 15 March 1976; marks the 50th anniversary of that attack; further remembers the nine people who were injured in the bombing and shooting that took place that day; condemns unequivocally the campaign of IRA terrorism which brought violence, fear and suffering to communities across the United Kingdom; pays tribute to the bravery shown by those who responded in the aftermath of the attack; and commends the Ancre Somme Association Charity for hosting an event to mark the 50th anniversary of the attack and for its work in promoting remembrance and ensuring that the victims of terrorism are never forgotten.
