That this House marks the first anniversary of the killing of 15 Palestinian aid workers in Tel al-Sultan, Gaza, on 23 March 2025, including paramedics from the Palestine Red Crescent Society, firefighters from the Palestinian Civil Defence, and a United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East staff member; notes findings from a joint investigation by Forensic Architecture and Earshot showing Israeli forces fired over 900 rounds at a convoy of clearly marked emergency vehicles before advancing on survivors, some of whom were reportedly shot at close range; further notes the investigation describes a coordinated attack with no return fire and the burial of victims alongside their vehicles in a mass grave; recognises the protected status of humanitarian personnel under international law; calls on the Government to clarify any UK surveillance activity over Gaza following the attack; urges suspension of all UK military collaboration with Israel pending a full, independent investigation; further calls on the Government to support international efforts to ensure accountability and protect civilians and aid workers in conflict zones; and further recognises the UK’s obligations under international humanitarian law, including the duty to prevent complicity in violations and to uphold the safety of medical and emergency personnel.
