25th anniversary of the Voluntary Initiative

That this House congratulates the Voluntary Initiative on its 25th anniversary taking place on 1 April 2026; recognises that, since its establishment in 2001, the Voluntary Initiative has brought together farmers, agronomists and industry bodies to promote the responsible use of plant protection products and reduce their environmental impact; notes its significant contribution to advancing Integrated Pest Management and supporting sustainable farming practices across the UK; further recognises its work in improving water quality, protecting biodiversity and supporting professional standards through training, research and stewardship initiatives; acknowledges the importance of industry-led collaboration in achieving environmental goals while maintaining productive agriculture; and wishes the Voluntary Initiative continued success in driving innovation, sustainability and best practice across the agricultural sector for years to come.
