Motion text
That this House commemorates the forthcoming 15th anniversary of Non-League Day on 28 March, and celebrates both professional and amateur men’s football in this country as a significant part of British culture and a cornerstone of local communities; recognises the event’s ongoing contribution to charitable fundraising, having raised over £250,000 to date for Prostate Cancer UK; applauds the outstanding contribution of volunteers and the founder, James Doe, in delivering a fully self-funded initiative; notes its important role in promoting affordable, local sporting experiences and promoting inclusion at non-league grounds; congratulates all involved on the past 15 years of success; and wishes the organisers every success in continuing to champion the non-league football community in the years ahead.
