That this House congratulates Greenwheel Electric on being granted planning permission for the development of a new electric vehicle charging and business hub at Lomondgate; welcomes the company’s commitment to supporting the transition to low-emission transport through the provision of 18 low-cost, ultra-rapid charging bays powered by 100% renewable energy; notes the inclusion of business-focused office meeting spaces and a local retail outlet, supporting job creation and economic activity in the area; further notes the positive engagement undertaken with the local community, including opportunities for residents to learn about and provide feedback on the proposals; recognises the partnership with the Strathleven Foundation Community Interest Company, ensuring that proceeds linked to land assets in the Lomondgate area continue to deliver lasting benefit for the communities of Dumbarton and the Vale of Leven; commends the emphasis placed on both environmental sustainability and community collaboration; and wishes Greenwheel Electric every success as it progresses to the next stage of development and construction.
