Motion text
That this House welcomes the fact that Keele University campus, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, is home to Europe's largest collection of flowering cherry trees, including some varieties which are not even found in their native Japan; recognises the seriousness with which Keele University takes its environmental and horticultural responsibility to the community in Newcastle-under-Lyme and across Staffordshire; notes that their collection of flowering cherry trees has attracted international praise, including a commendation from Japan's Ambassador to the UK, HE Mr Hiroshi Suzuki; and encourages people across the UK to visit Keele University campus to see the flowering cherry trees up close.
