Motion text

That this House welcomes the official recognition of Gaelic games by Sport England, Scotland and Wales; congratulates Britain GAA for its decades long work to protect, promote and enhance Gaelic games in communities across these islands; celebrates the significant growth in participation in Gaelic sports in Britain as a result of the dedication of volunteers and organisers in communities across England, Scotland and Wales; recognises that this significant step will open opportunities for additional support, resource and capacity for grass roots sport; and commends all those involved from the GAA, Britain GAA and local clubs for their efforts to act as cultural and sporting role models in their communities.
