That this House notes Wednesday 29 April 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of the consecration of St James the Great in Clayton, Newcastle-under-Lyme; acknowledges its 60 years of bringing the community together and its active commitment to Holy scripture; gives thanks for all those who have embraced St James the Great, Clayton over six decades; recognises that this important milestone was celebrated with a Eucharist held on Sunday 26 April 2026 led by Michael, the Rt Rev. the Lord Bishop of Lichfield OBE and the Parish Priest, Revd Julia Babb and attended by the hon. Member for Newcastle-under-Lyme and many, many people from Newcastle-under-Lyme and further afield; further thanks all those involved in ensuring a successful service of thanksgiving and celebration including those who cleaned the Church, baked the cakes and prepared the refreshments; and wishes the congregation, and the wider community of Clayton, all the very best for the next 60 years.
