That this House congratulates Walker’s Shortbread Ltd, a family-owned Scottish shortbread and biscuit company based in Aberlour, on being awarded The King’s Award for Enterprise under the International Trade Category; pays tribute to its status as one of the UK’s largest branded food exporters; notes its expansion into markets in North America, Asia Pacific and the Middle East; celebrates Walker’s Shortbread Ltd achieving over £76,600,000 in revenue from international markets; commends the positive impact this business has had on the local area in Speyside and associated businesses in the supply chain; and pays tribute to other prize winners in the King’s Awards for Enterprise, which total 185 across the UK.
