That this House commends The Proper Blokes Club for its outstanding work supporting men’s mental health through community walk and talk groups across South Basildon and East Thurrock, London, and beyond; recognises the important role the organisation plays in tackling loneliness, isolation and the stigma surrounding men speaking openly about mental health; praises founder Scott Oughton-Johnson, Jim Curran and all volunteers involved in creating supportive and non-judgemental spaces for men of all ages and backgrounds; notes that hundreds of men participate in the group’s activities each week; further recognises the positive impact of peer support, exercise and community engagement on mental wellbeing; wishes The Proper Blokes Club continued success in expanding its work and helping more men access support; and calls on the Government to work closely with community-led mental health organisations to improve early support and reduce the stigma surrounding men’s mental health.
