That this House congratulates Dr Marion Rankin on winning the YouthLink Scotland national youth work lifetime achievement award recognising who more than 32 years of exceptional service to Scouting, providing inspirational leadership and support to thousands of young people and volunteers across Clyde Region; acknowledges that as Regional Lead Volunteer, Marion has guided Scouting through periods of significant change and the challenges of the Covid pandemic with resilience, care and determination; further acknowledges her leadership has strengthened opportunities for over 6,000 young people, while her contribution to Auchengillan Outdoor Centre has enriched the experiences of countless Scouts from across Scotland and beyond and has been awarded the prestigious Silver Wolf; and notes Marion’s lifelong dedication making a remarkable legacy within youth work and volunteering.
