Motion text
That this House pays tribute to the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance for its outstanding work delivering lifesaving pre-hospital critical care across the region; notes that the charity responded to a record 2,593 emergencies in 2025, marking the fourth consecutive year of increasing demand for its services; further notes that almost 10 per cent of patients treated required a pre-hospital emergency anaesthetic and induced coma, demonstrating the advanced level of critical care provided at the scene of life-threatening incidents; recognises that the charity responds to an average of seven emergencies every day, including cardiac arrests, serious falls and major road traffic collisions, operating around the clock, including on bank holidays and in challenging conditions; congratulates the charity on the successful completion of its Operation Airbase appeal, supported by more than 13,000 donors, which has coincided with the relocation of the service to a new purpose-built airbase near Southampton Airport, Eastleigh; commends the dedication of its doctors, paramedics, pilots, dispatchers, and volunteers whose skill and commitment save lives every day; further recognises the vital role played by air ambulance charities in delivering urgent and emergency care across the United Kingdom; and calls on the Government to work closely with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and other air ambulance charities to ensure they are able to continue providing this essential service to communities nationwide.
