That this House congratulates Balerno High School on being successfully reaccredited as a Gold Rights Respecting School by UNICEF UK; recognises this achievement as a testament to the school's sustained commitment to embedding children's rights throughout its ethos, policies and practices; commends the dedication and leadership of the Rights Respecting Pupil Group, past and present, whose hard work has been instrumental in securing this prestigious reaccreditation; acknowledges the vital contribution of teaching staff, particularly Kirsty Templeton and Hannah Mairs, for their commitment to delivering and championing the Rights Respecting Schools programme; notes the importance of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, especially Article 3 on the best interests of the child and Article 29 on the aims of education; recognises the alignment of this work with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4 on Quality Education; and wishes all pupils and staff at Balerno High School continued success in promoting children's rights, participation and inclusive education within their school community.
