That this House recognises the 20th anniversary of the Lewy Body Society; acknowledges the charity's work over the past two decades to improve awareness and understanding of Lewy body dementia, support people living with the condition and their families, and fund vital research; notes that Lewy body dementia is the second most common form of degenerative dementia in older people but remains widely under-recognised and frequently misdiagnosed; further notes the challenges experienced by people living with the condition and unpaid carers in accessing timely diagnosis, appropriate support and information; and calls for continued efforts to improve awareness, diagnosis, care, support and research relating to Lewy body dementia.
