Motion text
That this House recognises the valuable contribution made by physician associates and anaesthesia associates to patient care across the NHS; notes that these professions have worked in the UK health service for over two decades and support multidisciplinary teams in a range of clinical settings; further notes the findings of the Leng Review regarding the safety and future role of physician associates and anaesthesia associates; also notes the importance of maintaining constructive professional relationships between doctors, physician associates and anaesthesia associates; believes that any reforms should be developed through meaningful consultation with all affected professions; and calls on the Government to ensure that implementation of the Review's recommendations supports workforce morale, effective teamworking and high-quality patient care.
