That this House commends Scotland’s Tartan Army for the outstanding example set during recent international fixtures in North America; notes the warmth, humour, generosity and exemplary conduct of thousands of travelling supporters; recognises that the Tartan Army captured hearts across the world through personal interactions and the power of social media; further recognises the positive impact on Scotland’s international reputation and the friendships formed with local communities; welcomes the opportunities created to strengthen tourism, cultural, educational and business links; and calls on the Scotland Office, the Scottish Government, VisitScotland and relevant bodies to build on this goodwill and promote Scotland’s international profile.
