That this House congratulates Edinburgh charity Community One Stop Shop (COSS) on its exceptional impact over the past year in supporting individuals experiencing poverty and crisis; applauds the expansion of its services through the new Waverley Care Van, which supported 1,868 people experiencing homelessness in Edinburgh city centre, and the securing of a vital new storage facility at Lochside via ScotArt to handle growing demand; notes that COSS successfully supported thousands of local residents, including serving 1,238 Foodbank clients with 2,746 emergency bags, welcoming 3,045 visits to the Broomhouse Pantry, and securing £243,219 in financial gains for clients through 390 advice appointments; and thanks the dedicated staff and volunteers, notably Cristina for 10 years of service and Lee on becoming Operations Manager, for their tireless, compassionate work to alleviate poverty and build community resilience.
