That this House congratulates Nathalie Fullerton on her appointment as the Deputy Vice President of the Federation of Independent Retailers; commends Nathalie, the owner of Go Local, Dumbarton Road in Glasgow West, the first in the city, on being elected to this role by delegates at the organisation’s annual conference in Birmingham; recognises that her appointment is a reflection of her hard work and leadership on behalf of independent retailers; acknowledges that Nathalie brings to the role a track record as an ambassador for the Association of Convenience Stores, representing independent retailers on a national platform, and as a voice for Women in Convenience, helping drive real change for women across the retail sector; notes that Nathalie’s election will further ensure that the voices of Scottish retailers will be represented and central to The Fed’s work; further notes that The Fed is one of Europe’s largest employer’s associations, representing around 9,000 independent retailers across the UK and Ireland, providing practical support, expert advice, commercial services, and deals and opportunities for members; also notes that The Fed represents members at government and parliamentary level, and are the official government referral body for the sector; and wishes Nathalie future success as she takes on this key leadership role.
