That this House congratulates journalist Norman MacLeod of Scalpay on 40 years of broadcasting in Gaelic and English to audiences across the Grampian and STV area; pays tribute to his skill and dedication in news presenting, local, national and international reporting; commends his professional presentation of news stories ranging from the sensitive handling of the Piper Alpha disaster to the tongue in cheek reporting on the rise of Peat and Diesel band as a cultural phenomenon; and wishes him all the best in future roles in front or behind the camera.
