That this House notes Newcastle College, in Newcastle-under-Lyme, held their annual awards night in a ceremony at the bet365 Stadium on Tuesday 17th June 2026; congratulates all the young people and their families from Newcastle-under-Lyme and across North Staffordshire, who received awards for their smarts, skills, and hard work; further notes that 30 awards were presented to students for outstanding achievements during their time at NSCG, in a range of categories including academic and creative studies, vocational studies, skills and technology subjects and apprenticeships; recognises that the awards were sponsored by a variety of organisations including Pearson, Keele University, the University of Staffordshire, the University of Derby, UCLAN, Can Print, Trenton Construction, Stoke City FC , Stoke-on-Trent & Staffordshire Institute of Technology, Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, Drayton Beaumont and Newcastle-under-Lyme Borough Council; appreciates all those who made the evening happen; thanks all the staff at Newcastle College, led by Principal Craig Hodgson and Deputy Principal Shelley Brown, for their commitment to the college and all who learn there; and sends its very best wishes to the entire student body at Newcastle College.
