That this House celebrates the 30th anniversary of SAT-7, founded in 1995 at a meeting held in Larnaca, Cyprus; recognises the vision of Terence Ascott in creating a Christian Arabic-language satellite channel; highlights the growth of SAT-7 as it now reaches millions of viewers in 25 countries broadcasting 365 days a year; further highlights the importance of SAT-7 in radically changing the image of Christianity in the Arab world; commends SAT-7 for deepening understanding of Christianity across Middle Eastern homes; also highlights the work SAT-7 UK undertakes in partnering with SAT-7 International Trust to enable high-quality, locally produced, comforting, informative and educational television and digital media services to be delivered in a region often so afflicted by discord; recognises SAT-7 UK's work in highlighting the needs of churches across the Middle East and North Africa and encouraging supporters in the United Kingdom to pray regularly, engage actively, and provide resources towards this ministry; and further commends the broadcasting of powerful, faith-filled programmes directly into homes across the region, bringing joy, hope and encouragement to millions.
