That this House notes with appreciation AWARE Scotland, Active Wellbeing And Respite Experiences, a Glasgow-based charity established in 2022 and run by dedicated volunteers, on its work supporting young people regardless of their background or life experiences; recognises its vision of helping young people most in need through unique experiences that build confidence, foster lifelong friendships and create lasting memories; commends the charity for supporting more than 90 young people and engaging over 100 volunteers through respite breaks, weekly days out, fitness, yoga, art and drama classes; further notes that during the July 2026 holiday period alone AWARE Scotland supported 288 attendances by young people, 96 hours of activities and 805 hours of respite for parents and carers; also notes that all trips and activities are delivered by volunteers and funded solely through fundraising and donations; welcomes the forthcoming Aviemore residential weekend from 24 to 27 September; celebrates AWARE Scotland’s commitment to helping young people feel healthy, safe, active, responsible, nurtured, respected and included; and wishes the charity, its young people, volunteers, families and supporters every success as it continues its vital work helping young people reach their potential and be recognised as valued members of their communities across Glasgow.
