That this House notes with sadness the death, on Tuesday 25 August 2026, of Dolly Parton at the age of 80; recognises the deep poverty she was born into and her life long commitment to education through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library that saw hundreds of millions of books provided to children across the world; celebrates her talent as a musician, singer-songwriter and performer over a career that spanned more than six decades; acknowledges the power and popularity of some of her her most famous songs, I Will Always Love You, Jolene, Coat of Many Colors and 9 to 5; and extends its deepest condolences to her family, friends and fans in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and across the world.
