That this House recognises the importance of workplace policies to support and retain the female workforce in all stages of their careers; notes that women over 55 are among the fastest-growing demographics in Scotland’s workforce; understands that Menopause Friendly Accreditation promotes clear robust standards to deliver tangible change in culture, policies and practices, training, engagement and working environment; further recognises the positive impact of workplace networks in building strong, supportive communities so women can openly share experiences and learn from one another in a safe environment; congratulates ScottishPower on achieving Menopause Friendly Accreditation and best in class for meaningful action to support colleagues experiencing menopause; also recognises ScottishPower’s Connected Women Me…no-pause group as an example of best practise; and further notes that leadership across industry is a significant milestone in creating a truly supportive and inclusive workplace.
