90th anniversary of the Bangor Missionary Convention

That this House celebrates 90 years of the Bangor Worldwide Missionary Convention, an interdenominational organisation with a strong evangelistic focus; recognises the significance of this milestone; commends the continuation of this rich legacy of global mission engagement; highlights the work the Worldwide Mission has done to make Jesus known across the street and across the world since 1937; notes the thousands who have gathered at Hamilton Road Baptist year after year, from young to old, from church leaders to churchgoers, gaining an insight into the heart of the church’s mission; further commends the work the Convention has done to gathering people who care about the world beyond their own shores; expresses appreciation for the international speakers who made the journey to Northern Ireland including Timothy Cho, a two time escapee who endured imprisonment in China and North Korea, and David Gordon, director of the Dohnavur Fellowship in India, the ongoing ministry of the late Amy Carmichael; and wishes the Worldwide Missionary Convention every success in helping every generation step in Gods global mission.
