Motion text

That this House celebrates the extraordinary achievement of eight-year-old Riley Dibble from Churchfields Primary School in Newcastle-under-Lyme; acknowledges that Riley was diagnosed at birth with Transposition of the Great Arteries and underwent life-saving open-heart surgery shortly after birth at Birmingham Children's Hospital, and later required further major surgery, including branch pulmonary artery augmentation, following a diagnosis of pulmonary stenosis; commends Riley's remarkable courage and determination throughout his medical journey; notes that during August, Riley set himself the challenge of walking 31 miles to raise money for Birmingham Children's Hospital, with an initial target of £100; further notes that Riley not only completed the full 31 miles but raised more than £600, more than six times his original goal; applauds Riley's selfless motivation in wanting to help other children facing the same challenges he has overcome; and wishes Riley, and his supportive and loving family, continued good health and every success in the future.
