That this House congratulates Stronsay woodcarver David Askew on his snipe carving being named the best in Britain; recognises the skill, craftsmanship and dedication demonstrated in creating the winning piece; celebrates the talent of Orkney’s rural and island communities; and wishes David continued success in his craft.
