That this House recognises the outstanding contribution of Phil Simms, Editor of the Henley Standard, dedicating 19 years of service to the local newspaper, having joined the publication as a reporter in 2008; notes his leadership in championing local journalism and holding public bodies to account; commends his successful Save Our Station campaign, which helped save Henley's fire station from proposed closures; further notes the Henley Standard’s commitment to protecting the local environment and the River Thames; and acknowledges him for his dedication to serving the people of Henley-on-Thames and the surrounding area through independent, community-focused journalism.
