That this House congratulates Gillingham Town Council on achieving the prestigious Gold Award from the National Association of Local Councils’ Award Scheme and notes that this is the highest level of accreditation available; notes that the award recognises councils at the forefront of best practice, demonstrating excellence in governance, community leadership and council development; recognises that this achievement reflects the professionalism and hard work of the Town Council's elected members and staff in serving the residents of Gillingham; and commends Gillingham Town Council for setting an excellent example to local councils across Dorset and beyond.
