That this House calls on GEC and General Domestic Appliances Ltd,to reconsider their proposal to cease the production of gas appliances by Cannon Industries in Coseley, where they have operated successfully for over 150 years, with the loss of approximately 900 jobs in an area which is experiencing high unemployment as a result of the present economic recession.
