Motion text

That this House is most concerned that the Government is expected this week to announce the closure of the VAT and Excise offices on Manningham Lane in Bradford; cannot understand why the government wants to transfer 118 jobs from Bradford and open new offices in Leeds; believes this decision exposes the falsity of Government claims about wanting to expand and strengthen Bradford's economy; believes the closure of offices and transfer of jobs will harm Bradford's local economy and cause inconvenience and difficulties to Bradford citizens and organisations, including the local business community; protests at the absence of local consultation; and calls upon the Government to re-consider their decision urgently to allow options to office closures to be properly considered with staff and the local community.

There are no withdrawn signatures for this motion.
