Motion text

That this House, noting that there has been no full reform of the law governing the supervision of charities since 1960, takes note of the response to the White Paper Charities: A Framework for the Future, Cm 694, of this House through its Parliamentary Panel on Charity Law; believes that new legislation to remedy the defects of the present law is now urgent; and calls upon Her Majesty's Government to bring forward such legislation as soon as possible.
